We worked together for a Fortune 100 company a few years ago--until the ax fell and our team was eliminated.
Realizing (while crying in our beer) that we would never again have the opportunity to work with such talented individuals unless..."We start our own company!"

I can expound in detail because I love to TALK about instructional design but I'll just leave these nuggets and let you, dear reader, thirst for more:

  • What problem are you trying to solve?

  • What does success look like?

  • Will you know it when you see it? (What is your evaluation strategy?)

Our solutions solve real problems; they are creative, innovative, and strategic.

We perform objective analyses to identify gaps in the context of the workplace and adapt solutions that maximize resources.

As trained observers, we ask the right questions--without wasting your time.
But we do ask a lot of questions!

Solutions must be created with these Adult Learning Principles in mind:

  • WIIFM - content must be meaningful and helpful (What's In It For Me?)

  • Engaging - learners need to ask questions, discuss, and interact

  • Hands-on - try things out; take it for a spin and then practice, practice, practice

  • Short sessions and informal environment (e.g., microlearning)

  • Evidence-based - contrary to training myth and deep tradition, one-time training events in and of themselves do NOT deliver significant positive, bottom-line outcomes.
